Overview
This article provides information related to encrypted USB drives being decrypted or have their password changed by a different GFI EndPointSecurity.
Information
If you encrypt a USB drive based on a policy from one GFI EndPointSecurity installation, move the device to another GFI EndPointSecurity instance and then try to use the 'Reset user password' feature in it. You will be unable to do so without the original recovery password used in the first GFI EndPointSecurity Console.
This will prevent a person who has found or stolen the device from accessing it by installing GFI EndPointSecurity and trying to reset the password to access it.
