Overview

With GFI EndPointSecurity, you have the ability to add specific devices for control under a protection policy. You can add these devices under the whitelist, blacklist or when you select to add permissions under the protection policy for controlled devices.

Process

To perform this addition, follow these steps:

GFI EndPointSecurity 2013

1. Connect the device to a computer.
2. From the EndPointSecurity console go to Scanning > Risk Scan.
3. Scan the computer where the device was connected.
4. Right-click the device and select Add to devices database.
5. The device will now be listed when configuring the blacklist, whitelist or specific device permissions.

GFI EndPointSecurity 2012

1. Connect the device to a computer.
2. From the EndPointSecurity console go to Tools > Device Scan.
3. Scan the computer where the device was connected.
4. Right-click the device and select Add to devices database.
5. The device will now be listed when configuring the blacklist, whitelist or specific device permissions.
