Root Cause
Risk Scanning and Auto Discovery use the Computer Browsing service to find computers in the entire network or a specific domain. The same functionality is provided by net view command. Executing net view command is an excellent verification to see if this functionality is enabled.
Windows Server 2008 and later server versions of Windows may have the Computer Browser service disabled by default. The service has to be enabled for computer discovery to work.
